I’m really liking the RG Daytona. Update after 2 months ownership

I have been wearing it daily while at the Hotel, Holiday Inn, while we get our entire house textured and painted and it really has been a nice wear.

You know, PM Heft but really comfortable. I use the Easy-Link multiple times a day and it is really cool to look down on such a symmetrical dial

I caught myself looking for a date a couple of times but that’s one of the trade-offs with this one

I finally got over the urge to keep it in, “maybe I’ll hardly use it so I can get good value on trade in,” condition. Lol

It has been a tank and is keeping time within a few seconds a week.

Been playing with the stopwatch hand and it’s fun to make it interact with the small seconds hand. You know, like have them start at the same angle or 180 degrees... either way with the large seconds hand on or off it still keeps the same great time. Not sure if all Daytona’s keep such great time or just this one.

Also it is not as pink as when I bought it. It is still rosy but has a slight patina and am curious as to how it will end up after 1, 2 or 5 yrs... see third pic

Really like it as it’s not YG or WG. I like it’s specialness

and lastly, It has the new bezel that looks like printed instead of the older Daytona Bezels that had the indentations, and the lacquer, like inside the triangle's and numbers... Not sure what they call it...

I mean who doesn’t love the rose gold. It’s to die for. I wish it looked better on my skin tone. Absolutely beautiful Daytona you have there

That's a beautiful Daytona, and looks great on you.

My 116520 feels hefty enough, the PM must be awesome....

Congrats! That's a beautiful Daytona and looks like a keeper to me. I stopped in for a visit to my AD today and they had a rose gold Yachtmaster, I thought the rose gold looked very nice and more subtle in person.

This black dial 116505 is the 2nd best looking PM daytona, only Platona looks better. The combinaton of black dial with the Full RG just makes it pop.

Gorgeous watch. Looking at a PM piece myself. A bit scared to pull the trigger. But, that Daytona is off the charts. Looks great on your wrist.

Yes really beautiful watch. I was offered one at South Coast Plaza for MSRP, but the AD would pay the sales tax. That's still over $37k (ouch), so I passed, but it was truly something beautiful to behold.

My wallet would feel much better getting a WG Daytona on Oysterflex, and the steel dial is another absolute stunner.

Congrats - continue to enjoy it!

The weight of the Platona is a plus, as far as I am concerned, but I think RG with black reverse-panda is the best combination and a great choice by the OP.
