16600 was my first nice watch that I worked for 2 years and bought myself for my 21st birthday. Recently had its first service and gave it to my wife. Here it is next to its big brother.

Not the best picture, just the one I had at the moment.

That was my first Rolex, bought about 35 years ago.

G'day to all of you
Have been reading various posts on this forum for a while ...now it's time to post a maiden post.
And what could be a better topic than my favoured watch; the 16600 SD
That's my 1999 SD bought new

Regards
Robert from Sydney

Guys, what do you think is the better buy - an early 2000s lughole case or latter no holes? Is it literally just a preference thing??

I do like case with holes too, and just love my 1984 Tripple Six - I am its first and only owner! :)

Be careful with that tool. I have one as well, used it on non-rolex watches only to leave a permanent mark against the lug-surface because the tip is "just" long enough to get the job done and if you push it any further, you hit up against the lug face...

I need your advice about the polishing

Hi everyone, I'm close to buy my first Sea Dweller, is the reference 16600 from 1991, it's a full set and all the stuff with it.
The only think I'm nut sure about is if the case was never been polished, I don't know if you can see on the picture.
I need your help about this one, because I want make the great choice.
Thank you

Just incredible!! I’ve seen your thread talking about these special watches before. You must be the only one in the world who has all 3 of these varieties all together. Thank you for sharing!!

Thank you, however I highly doubt it!
The first one is a regular D serial from 2009 I believe, although NOS. The special ones are the last 2. Both NOS and both were extremely hard to get.
