Independent Certified w/ Parts Account for heirloom

Hello All! Long time lurker, this may be my first thread. I did search around and couldn’t find what I was looking for. If I missed the thread I should have found I apologize, feel free to just link it.

I have my dad’s old 16613 from approx 1992. Tritium dials and hands that no longer glow. I love the watch, it’s my most prized possession. I’ve gone on to buy a few of my own but this one will always be special. However, wearing the watch is a pain compared to my other modern Rolexi that still glow. I hate having the watch be quasi-nonfunctional at night. So I want to replace the dial and hands. Knowing it’s approaching vintage (I’ll never, ever sell it), and as my father passed away I don’t want to lose the face and hands to the RSC when they ship back with the new kit. The watch could probably use a service, too, as it’s been 10ish years. Still runs at +4 or +7 so I don’t want to break what isn’t broken unless it’s necessary.

Can anyone post or send me a DM with a person who could replace the dial hands and maybe bezel, while keeping the old? I’ll just store that stuff in the box. I’m in Pittsburgh, PA but have no problem shipping if that’s easiest.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Best,
Dan

Try find a small AD and ask if they wan’t to change the dial for a new one and you could keep the old one.

There is a Rolex RSC located with the Rolex Technicum in Lititz, PA. Give them a call.

Dial and bezels are exchange items only. So...limits your options on that

Thanks all for the feedback. I’ll reach out to the above. Regarding “exchange items only” does that mean they would only replace the face by getting the old one back?

Rik Dietel at Time Care Inc., Google him. He's serviced a few of my watches with great results.

Just spoke to Rik, seems like a good option. He would re-lume the existing face and hands. Anything I should be concerned with going that route?
