I would go ahead if the price is right.

You will never know if it’s all original unless you send it to RSC or buy new from an AD. Not worth the incremental saving to me but that’s just my opinion

Send the watch to RSC for service quote. Even if you deny the service and just pay to have your watch returned to you, you will have a receipt from RSC with the watch's serial number and reference, which is as good as it gets for authentication as Rolex will not service a fake.

That will be the plan. Thanks to all members for some great advice.

They've been around for 102 years. You don't stay in business that long by doing the wrong thing. Best of luck.

I'm about to take the plunge and purchase a 118238 from Govberg. The watch is being sold to me with NO warranty card or original sales receipt. They will provide a 15 month warranty and written appraisal.

I'm not looking for any opinions of Govberg as a seller (I've read precautionary remarks previously posted). Is this good enough to verify the authenticity of the watch and insure the watch? Also, the watch has been polished once.
If you're having fears, regardless of what others are telling you, walk away..........

Yes totally unreasonable buying from an AD or Trusted seller alike.
Probably they black list you as a buyer who will only cause trouble.
If I was an AD I would for sure rather than accepting insinuations of cheating
