Joel, I will be watching the game, but I am certainly disappointed that my Phillies are not in the World Series!

I hear ya Rich...it would have been cool to see some former M's playing. Of course the Cliff Lee match up against them. Do you know about the annual Phillies cruise?

Joel, yes I know about the cruise, but my wife will not go on a cruise because she gets sea sick. Cliff Lee is a great pitcher ..... I was sorry to see him leave the Phillies.

Did you see that pitcher for the Giants when playing against Texas today, he could have tagged the runner out between 3rd & home, but he just stood there and hung onto the ball

What is wrong with that Giant's pitcher tonight, popped up a bunt to the catcher like a little leaguer

Not a bad rally in the 6th, but too little too late.

Okay, first game jitters are gone, Rangers. Go get 'em.

As an Aussie and knowing more than most about baseball, I do stand by my comments I wasn't saying I thought the Giants were going to lose, but that long-haired pitcher goofed up pretty good.
Anyway, it was a happy ending for the Giants.
It was a great ballpark where they played, the telecast was crystal clear.

All in all a great game of baseball, very enjoyable with lots of scoring.

How was that guy who got to first on a bump ball and then thought he could turn the corner for second without even looking that the first baseman had the ball in his hand...........big mistake

Peace out

Wow Giants are looking like the team to beat. Giants are not known for their bats but they are killing it. Where the heck is Texas?

Game 2 on now.

New lead off pitcher for the Giants, looks good so far (1st innings) 10 pitches for 3 outs .

It's difficult to stay up and watch this game, it's 11:15pm here now.

lol, very funny considering since a game does not make a series let alone a few series lol lol...

i do recall a certain post predicting the winner of the ALCS such as "yankees go right thru the rangers...... bring on the phillies... we all know how that turned out last year.... i remember mr. rollins.... phillies in 5... lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol"

sound familiar, lol. wrong on both accounts... with that said, i hope not lol

total brain freeze lol... of course he is from the PNW and we all know he was busted but he survived the miscue with that dp.

ok, so the gaints did what they had to do and that was win on their field. that is what home field advantage is for.....at least the last time i'd heard

funny...all these years since the allstar game was made "meaningful" the american league continued to dominate and what is funny, many of the past years key victories by the american league was fueled by game winning hits by rangers which enabled the alcs winner to have home field advantage. this year...go fig

with that said...i hope the errors and bad innings are out of the way come game 3... vlad's bat in the lineup will be a welcome sight... colby lewis time

go rangers
