Incoming Speedy Tokyo 2020 Panda

Got a new Speedy today. Finally got a panda.

Love the dial. My favorite of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Speedmasters.

LOL. Agreed!

IMO, the "challenge" with Speedmasters is that the original is so close to perfect that it's hard to improve.

But I do love this limited edition. The panda dial, applied Omega logo and indices, red color on the Speedmaster, and red tip on the chrono hand all make it special. Plus I like the sapphire crystal for a change of pace. I think it's better than the 1969 35th anniversary. Plus the bracelet has a micro adjustment.

The Tokyo 2020 edition is only available on the Japanese market and is not displayed on Omega’s “western” website. The bezels are the colors of the olympic rings so there are multiple versions and only 2020 pieces per color ring/bezel were produced. If you search broadly on the internet you will find photos of each of the versions.

I love mine! Such a beautiful very well balanced timepiece

I love the history of the moon watch combined with the limited production for ghe for first olympics of the next decade!

Sort of. Proportions on dial indices are different and there are other font variations as well. Red tipped seconds hand too. Anyone else see more differences ?

Improved bracelet with adjustable clasp, longer hour indices, sapphire crystal, olympic logo caseback.

Japanese dealers are sold out of the panda dial. Limited to 2020 pieces. I bought mine through OC Watches.

As of 12/22/2019, there was one (along with its red and green bezeled brothers) in a separate, isolated display, upstairs in the Ginza boutique.

They have all five on display that you can ask to take out. But the panda has been long sold out. I know since I've purchased all three stainless from them. The red and blue is probably starting to get scarce now too.

Very nice! Hang on to it. I think this is one modern Omega that will blow through the roof in value.
