Icon7 Fun boutique visit (Speedmaster content)

Had the chance to try on two 3861s. My 8-year old prefers the OG.

Also saw Ken’s latest Moonshine…. Gorgeous. (No photos of that one)

I love the 3861 with the classic black dial and would like to add one to my collection, but this new white dial really has me thinking.

Not sure if they'll "upgrade" the black dials to using applied indecies.

The white looks good on you Cru! Glad you had an opportunity to see the Moonshine Panda in person. Cheers,

No, no names were exchanged. Just checking things out…. Deep down, I think the black is the one for me. Definitely had the “oh wow” moment with it, not with the white.

I’m thinking the same… the white is amazing in stock photos. It’s really nice in real life, too, don’t get me wrong, but the black does “it” for me.

I think the Omega logo is plenty on the sapphire sandwich. Personally, I think they should keep the dial DNA as-is for the black.

It’s fun to share with them…. And my littlest likes to say he’s the kid who likes watches the most out of the three of them.

All the best to you.

I have a new found appreciation for the Moonshine since seeing your great photos. My son really really really liked it. :-)

Thanks for sharing! I always wondered how the white looked in person vs photos, something about it catches my eye.

Definitely one to see in the flesh. It’s very cool to have that chance right away after its release.

The black dial speedy is classy and old school looking. The white dial version is something fresh and new in moonwatch so more people are tempted to buy the white dial. But I love them both and one day I will have one in my collection.

Perfect father and son moment

Glad you had a chance to see both the white and black dial side by side.

Just received the new White Dial Speedmaster and I purchased a Black Dial 3861 Sapphire from DavidSW so I can wear and compare. The White Dial is everything others have reported.

Sounds like a nice day out! Nice pics. It's a tough choice between the two.

Absolutely love this watch. I hope to buy used in a year or two when (I hope) the price comes down. But something tells me if I go to an AD and they offer me one it's a very good chance I'm wearing it home. Time to rejigger the collection once again. It never stops in this hobby!

...as far as white vs black, I think the subtle changes like the red writting and applied markers make the white the one to get. To me is definitely feels like the more upscale of the two. My literal only complaint about the white is I wish they had gone with a ceramic bezel insert. I think it would have matched up nicely with that laquered dial and applied indices. But I can live with aluminum, and it does give it a vintage touch.
