The 5512 was sent to RSC in NY!

Hey Guys and Gals, I just received the word today from my AD that my 5512 just needs a liitle routine service. It was running about 5 minutes slow per hour! The service was for the movement, crystal, and crown. Last service was in 1989! They are not going to polish the case, change the bezel, dial or hands. They did recommend changing the original band, which I declined! It should be ready in 3 weeks! I cant wait!
PS It was sent to RSC in New York.

Great!! It's good that made sure they won't change the dial, hands, etc.! Nice 5512!! Is it a 77 or 78????

Nice timepiece!
I just got my 5513 back today from RSC after some 10 weeks. Part of that was being there over the holidays, but it also had to be returned to them to have my original insert put back on -- even though it was specifically declined in the quotation. Fortunately, they'd retained it and all is good again -- other than the overly long separation... but after nearly 40 years together, we'll be OK. ;-)
