I would have said SD4k had it not been for the sentimental factor. Both are great choices!

In a vacuum I was going to say SD4k, but with the sentimental value of the BLNR and the fact you'd have to sell both, and maybe take a slight financial hit with going with the SD4k, I think the BLNR would make for a pretty fine one and only.

Having own all these variant;
GMT Master: Look wise, blingy due to PCL thus look dressy. Function wise, great package of complication; GMT, date, quick set hour, rotating bezel which in a pinch can be used as timer. Sub ND: Design DNA similar to GMT Master but with less busy bezel layout and wear slightly higher due to thicker caseback. Dial look clean and symmetrical. Function wise, it’s as minimal as possible. You can say it has second hand complication? Glidelock is a plus but I’m fine with Easylink on GMT. SD4K: Look and feel similar to SD16600 but enchanted 1000%. Great bezel action online with other ceramic diver, finely finished and porportional shaped case, maxi satin dial and hands but thickest case among 3. Wear higher and also noticible heavier even when worn tight. Function wise, same as Sub ND plus date and triple water resistant. In the end, it boil down to these question. Do you need a date? No, Sub ND. Do you need GMT function? GMT Master. Do you want a fine sport watch? SD4K. |

The Sub No-Date is a better all-around watch, but if you like blue and travel the BLNR is the one to keep.

Sub C ND for me. It’s really a practical watch. I realized it late and now it’s not that easy to get one. It’s more understated.

Sell me the BLNR and I’ll give you first right of refusal or an option to buy back if you decide you made a mistake. Problem solved.

I would say keep the BLNR both because of the sentimental reasons AND because I think it's a better looking watch. The Sub ND is definitely nice too though, but the BLNR wins my vote hands down! I prefer both of your models that you already have over the SD43. Mainly because I have a smaller wrist and a 40mm is as large as I can pull off. That reasoning may not apply to you though. Good luck on whatever you decide.

Hi Elethiomel, I’m just curious as to why you say the BLNR is not perfect as a one and only. I’m not judging, just wondering what leads you to believe this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Keep BLNR, it’s the best of the 3. However in your shoes I’d flip the Sub for the SD4k. BLNR and SD4k would make a great 2 piece collection.

In your case I would keep the BLNR but have the bracelet brushed to remove the PCL

If I could only have one watch it would be 116610LN. It is the do it all watch. Boring and cliche to some, but it is what I think of when I think of the Rolex brand. That and the older Pepsi. The BLNR would be second, but first if I required a GMT. I have had thick divers and not a fan anymore so although I love the look of the SD4K it is out foe me. I had the 114060 and it was my first Rolex and it haunts me now. I seriously get a sick stomach feeling every time I see one. I shouldn't have traded it and added. My example did have bezel alignment issues which drove me nuts. Want to buy it again, but have other priorities besides watches.

Blnr if you’re a desk diver, the pcl makes it a good office watch. The blnr is easily recognized.
Sd4k if you’re outdoorsy. The biggest thing with the sd4k is you have to be ok with people thinking you have a common watch, the submariner. The extras that make it great watch most people won’t even notice and its hard to justify the extra price if you care about what others think. I love the sea dweller series as it fits my lifestyle but everyone is different. Get what suits your lifestyle. I love the blnr, not as my only watch but it would make a great 2nd or 3rd option. |

If solely based on sentimental value, then the BLNR.
But the SDc is my favorite of the three. Can you flip the ND and add the SDc to pair with the BLNR? That would make a great duo!

Tried on the ND Sub C and didn’t do anything for me ... I also have the 116613LB Sub C Blue Sunburst as well in my collection. That said , the BLNR is gone and yes I miss it sometimes but I think I’d miss my SD4K the most ... I’d say get the SD4K as a one and only !!!! The feel , heft and presence of the SD4K wins it for me plus no cyclops and a date to boot, versatility at it’s finest . Let’s not forget about the graduated bezel that is simply Stunning!!!! Good luck ... |

A blnr with the no date’s glide lock bracelet would be a tough choice to let go.

Keep the BLNR. It will be more expensive to re-acquire than a Sub no date. Plus it seems to have some sentimental value as well. Also, if you have only one Rolex, it's good to have a date on it.
