For whatever reason I don't feel that way when I wear my Tudor. Any other brand, maybe. Tudor just feels like part of the rotation.

And no can't say the same thing. When wearing my Patek's an AP's I think wow they are Pateks and AP's.
Agreed.

Personal preference is just that, personal.

This is the stage that I am at currently. I've been enjoying wearing watches from all brands and price points.

For me it’s the do it all design in both form and function. I have two babies in diapers still so everyday is kind like a “what am I gonna get into today?” Kind of day lol. I don’t have the same all around confidence in almost any other brand.

AP Diver is close, but the style isn’t versatile in comparison. My Omega speedy Tuesday is absolutely special, but It’s certainly not a “tough” watch. My Tudor BB is the closest thing I have to a watch with the same characteristics.

This.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my Submariner and I’m a big fan of Rolex. But I certainly don’t miss it when I’m wearing one of my Patek Philippe’s. If anything, it’s the opposite.

I've been close to buying other brands and could not do it. Rolex feels so much more substantial on the wrist. Can only go up, not down.

I am a watch enthusiast and Rolex just happens to be a brand.
I love all my watches. They all make me smile.

I've got a Seiko SARB033 in addition to my ExpII and I rarely, if ever, get that nagging feeling. Do sometimes get it wearing my Speedmaster, oddly enough.

Many others have said the same and Russ sums it up well.

Rolex is great, but Patek doesn’t leave anything to be desired.

My tennis partner, Roger, (no, not that one) is very honest.
He says he wouldn't wear a Patek, because no one knows what
they are.
His view is; "what's the point of spending 40-50K on a watch if,
nobody knows?

I smile, he's a good bloke, and gives me his year old, highly expensive
racquets. He's a raquet snob too!

Wearing my Omega SMP today.

I could not be happier with it. I’m fact, I’ve been admiring it all morning.

I love Rolex watches, but I’ll never understand the sentiment of this thread.

If I was wearing a suit I'd miss my datejust, otherwise I'm perfectly happy wearing one of my Omegas or Seikos.

I love Rolex. My favorite watchmaker. My one non-Rolex. Not self-conscious when I wear it though.

You're right, you can actually read the dial on a Speedmaster!!!

No for me. Love Rolex and it will always be the main focus of my collection but can honestly say that I get as big a kick with one of my Seiko watches.

I take great pleasure at wearing my non Rolex watches, but I have to admit that strapping the Rolex on the wrist feels that extra bit special for what I personally value in a watch.

Iconic style, brand equity, top quality, robustness, accuracy, value retention (sports steel). Rolex ticks so many boxes, they offer a great all around package which is pretty hard to beat.

I know that feeling OP.
Happens when I drink too much of the kool-aid.

Stop intoxicating on the kool-aid, and you'll gain a fresh perspective.

I don't feel this way. Especially if I have a Patek on my wrist...I ain't missing a Rolex then. And I say that with all due respect to Rolex, which I love.

Honestly, Patek is one of those brands I've tried to love, but have never been able to for the following reasons.

- For one, Pateks are very small watches and have low heft compared to a Rolex.
- Rolex is more iconic: oyster case, oyster bracelet, cyclops, etc.
- Rolex is more suitable for an active lifestyle that includes swimming, hiking, mountain climbing, etc.
- Only WIS will understand or know what a Patek is. Everybody knows Rolex, especially non-WIS. Rolex is universal.
- Sure, the finishing is nice and everything is great until you realize, "Oh ****, I spent HOW much $ on this tiny watch that nobody except WIS know about and is difficult to resell?"

I recently purchased a Seiko Turtle PADI, and wear mine in rotation
with my Rolex watches.
