I've been wearing 4 and 5 digit Rolex for 35+ years and they will always be my number 1. I've totally lost interest in the newest generation of Rolex. I'm not going to get excited about watches I can't buy w/out going through the gray market or be on an AD wait list for the rest of my life. I waited two whole months for a 5 digit Daytona in 1994 and that was too long. :)

For many years I ignored Tudor. The past few years with the Black Bay and Heritage line I've done a 180 turn and am finding Tudor to be my favorite for new tool watches that I can actually wear w/out fear putting a scratch on them. The pleasant surprise is now that I'm looking at Tudor, the older Tudors have become almost as desirable to me as my 4 and 5 digit Rolex.

So older Rolex my #1
Tudor #2

1. Patek
2. AP
3. VC
4. Rolex

My list is based on current and past ownership (I’ve owned all four, currently PP and AP), and number of models I’d like to own from the brand. I will eventually have one from all four to complete the traditional watchmaking “Holy Trinity” - PP, AP, VC - and to me the popular “Holy Trinity” - PP, AP, Rolex

in terms of preference its this for me although its a tossup for AP/Rolex
ALS
Patek
AP
Rolex

Based on watchmaking though i would put several ahead of Rolex in the #4 slot but that doesnt necessarily mean i want to buy one

Always hard to do lists as they do vary

I don't think I can rank any of my watches or their brands in an order. I truly love them all equally.
My collection consists of ( In no particular order )
Rolex
Omega
JLC
Breguet
Tudor
Hamilton

That said, I just bought my first Rolex a couple of weeks ago (16570 Explorer II) and they are currently the brand I am obsessing about the most of late. I can see myself owning more Rolex's than other brands at which point I guess they could be considered #1. If that happens all the others will be tied for #2 :).

I have 2 Rolex & 3 Seikos.
Next up would be a GS or Breitling. However, that would take me to 3 brands...

Panerai def! Debut was a 3646 with Rolex 618 movement. I also collect Cortebert 616 movements because of its close design to the 618.

Breitling. I like omega too but to me, Breitlings are unique, and they are a very good value for the money second hand. Gshock of course too.

I own a smorgasbord of watches, but my number 2 is Omega and is also the main staple of my collection.
