Why does Omega use tiny screws in their bracelets?

My last three Omegas all us those tiny tiny screws in the removable links. It drives me mad. Why not one line screw like Rolex, other use?

Agreed. The screw caps (they're not really screws) are annoying. I suspect they're used primarily for aesthetic purposes, since having visible screw heads on both sides of the bracelet has a certain visual appeal. But in terms of practicality, you can have them.

I never have problem with the pin and collar (or pipe and c-clip) for any of the Omega, Seiko, Citizen, Casio, etc.

But man, the Omega tiny screws are ... so tiny.

I think using the screw is considered an upgrade, that's why they are doing it. To me, they are just .... man, where is my reading glasses??

In my older Aqua Terra they used regular screws. They switched about four years ago. And yes, it’s irritating.

Me either. I didn't even consider attempting to size the bracelet on my Speedy. I knew I would mangle or drop one of those tiny screws so I just went straight to an AD.

Thanks for the comments and my apologies for the typos in the initial question...so mad at the little screw caps, I could not type.

The screw caps have to make the overall bracelet less robust than other bracelets with one long screw.

My eyesight is not the greatest yet I had no troubles with the tiny Omega screws. I thought it was pretty easy to adjust an Omega bracelet with those little screws.

I'm guessing they are doing it that way because it is cheaper to manufacture than one long robust screw all the way through. Could be wrong though. I agree though it's still much better than the pin and collar system but not by a whole lot since some of the center pins are pretty difficult to get to move with the screws removed. I have had to tap several out with a fair amount of force before.

Just more parts, more complicated, easier to come unscrewed and fall out, etc..I call BS on Omega.

Beats the pins and sleeves they’ve used in the past.
