Can a Glashutte Original PanoMatic Lunar be worn casually?

I love the look of the Glashutte Original PanoMatic Lunar, absolutely stunning, but am wondering from anyone that owns one if it can be worn more casually? I work in a business casual type environment and feel like it might be too dressy to wear there or on weekends.

Any help at all would be much appreciated.

The black dial for sure. The other I think you could too. Gold might be a stretch though.

Ah, good mention on the gold. I should have said in the original post that I'm thinking of getting the SS model. I just worry that this strap will always read too dressy.

Get a different strap that's a little more casual. You could get a bracelet too which would help make it sportier.

Both good points. I was thinking of possibly a more casual brown leather strap but couldn’t find any pics of that combo online so I thought it might be bad etiquette or something haha.

I think a SS bracelet would be pretty nice. This is a link just to a picture. https://www.prestigetime.com/item/Gl...SABEgKgu_D_BwE

Agreed on the brown leather strap... I went back and forth on that watch 100 times...

I do think it is on the formal side but it can be dressed down a bit. Not down to short and flip flops in my opinion but jeans and shirt works great for me.
As somebody else mentioned the strap plays a big role. In the photo below, I had it on a cheap rubber band (long story) and it felt great.
I am sure Jocke will chime in, he has the metal bracelet and I think he likes to dress it down too.

I have posted many photographs of mine in this thread

I love the look and style of it in pics, but on my wrist it just didn't have that pop for me, unlike a Lange.

That is a beautiful watch. I had my eye on the perpetual model. And second the others on the brown watch strap to dress it down or up. Depends on the shade and type of brown strap you choose. With / without the stitching in contrast. Have fun and post pics when you have it!

It will be fine with jeans and a shirt that has a collar (e.g., a dress shirt or a polo shirt). If you have an option, buy it on a bracelet. The micro adjusting capabilities of GO bracelets are second to none and the investment will be well worth it. Just as with other watches, buying a GO on a strap and then adding a bracelet later will become expensive, about $2K.

Appreciate the help everyone, I like the bracelet idea very much. I'll try to track down one of those, they seem less readily available than those on the strap.

I have my one on bracelet and it's one of the beste bracelets out there. The watch looks more sporty and the bracelet is very comfortable.

Here is a few pics of it.

Jocke, thank you for the post, that link is incredible. What a gorgeous watch.

From your experience, could this be a watch for daily wear, or is it more for special occasions?

Also, where did you buy the bracelet separately? I have been searching online and cannot find just a bracelet, and most of the PML's for sale appear to come on the black strap.

Thank you for the help.

I have the blue dial version on a honey brown leather and I still wear it with jeans and a button down/polo/tshirt from time to time. I don't think you have to save it just for formal occasions but man still looks great under the cuff of a suit jacket on the original strap.

Yes the watch can uses as a daily wear, I have friends that do that. I got the bracelet from a GO AD, they are sold separate.

On a strap, even a black one, it dresses up or down nicely.

You can wear that watch daily. However, for some reason scratches on my GO/ALS watches bother me more than scratches on my Rolex.

Yes, and don't let anybody tell you otherwise. Of course on a different strap, but that dial looks fine with anything. As long as it's a white metal (SS, white gold, titanium, platinum) have ZERO worries.

There is some silly modern mentality that you must wear some type of 'sport' model if you're in casual clothing. It's absolutely ridiculous.
