Sick! That is my favorite of the 5 series M. That V10 is a bloody screamer. Love it. It's funny, my 10yr old who is a car kid asked me what is my favorite fast cat for a family car and this car came to me as the first choice, this was yesterday! Congrats Wes. Happy Earth day and go terrorize the streets!

NICE! When are we meeting up? If I didn't drive so many miles this is the car that would be in my driveway. What I would call a fun "daddy car".

With a proper exhaust, the E60 M5 sounds incredible. The issue with a lot of the very loud exhausts is that the car will drone very badly at cruising speeds. I'll be installing a proper exhaust shortly, but it won't be an obnoxiously loud one as I still want to be able to drive around without giving myself a headache.

Great little tool you might want to get for your car is the "Original Carly for BMW WIFI GEN 2 Adapter - Best BMW App on iPhone and iPad", you can check it out on Amazon to purchase, do some reading about it.

Allows you to do some coding work, change some of the factory settings, by-pass exhaust, change menu's a very cool app, I've had some fun with it. You can reset any fault lights, diagnose problems on your car before taking it in, and gather stats on how the car is performing.

Fist thing I did was turn off the annoying iDrive prompt that flashes up every time you start the car.

Enjoy....

Regarding Clarkson's Top Gear review, I am almost embarrassed to say that I have probably watched the review 100 times, if not more. I love how for most of the review, he makes it sound like the car is a big disappointment, but as soon as he hits the M button, everything changes. I know that Clarkson exaggerates a lot, but to an extent, he is right about the car. Around town, driving at low speeds, it's not the greatest car, but once you're on the highway, it's a totally different story. :)
Haha, I've seen that review a hundreds too... There's nothing better when Clarkson hits that M-button and that symphony, V10 and exhaust sound just plummets you into one of the best automotive experiences ever! And yes, Bangle did push the design envelope back then which very few understood... and the fact is, the e60 today looks as fresh and beautiful as it did when it was first released. It's a stunning piece of automotive history.

Yeah it's fun for an acceleration or two but I can imagine it gets old really fast.

How's the infotainment system on a car like this? Still usable?

The E60 is definitely a love/hate design. I’ve always liked it and I agree with you that it still looks great today.

The iDrive is still great, I think. The navigation is really painful to use, but other than that, everything still works very well.

I can retrofit a newer iDrive system, but it’s not worth the hassle for me.

Thanks guys!
Depending on the Nav system you have, I have a 2018 updated North American Eastern (Canada/US) version of the maps/navigation on 4 8 GB thumb drives (mine was still factory 2010), they should/might be a match, I can always send you the thumb drives...feel free to let me know when you get that far.....

Beast of a car and great colour! I imagine this would be much easier to keep looking clean and new as opposed to darker colours which require a lot more upkeep. Congratulations!

Looks great! My dream car is an M5 as well! Currently driving a F10 535 m-sport.

Is that color silver stone? I suggest you add a sprint booster.
