New DJ36mm vs Speedmaster 38mm

Assume price is not important but if you have to pick one between these 2 models of newer movement DJ36 and Omega Speedmaster Co-axial 38mm which one sing to you the most? Both have iconic design and both looking good for smaller wrist men’s.

I’d choose the DJ over the speedmistress. DJ has the more iconic design over the two while the latter is a largely forgotten derivative of the moonwatch.

You try that speedy on? The classic speedy is a bit large, so for fun I tried this at a local AD. The thin bezel makes it feel VERY feminine. Granted the DJ36 is also too small on me but that just my wrists. The speedy literally appears to have been designed for the female base.

True, and that’s because it first came out in fancy colors other than black and with oval sub-dials, with women as Omega’s target market. Then they released this one as though it were an afterthought.

The other thing too, is that the proportions are off when diameter-to-thickness is considered. It sits high on the wrist for its size, which is counterintuitive for a watch that was designed primarily for women.

The reduced speedy is no longer made and it has that module for chronograph....sometimes hard to service.....if you like a smaller speedy check out the FOIS model 39. something mm.

That is a lady speedmaster, have you taken a look at Zenith Chronomaster 38mm?
