Incoming...

I'll take a picture of my pens as soon as I receive a much desired and awaited delivery: The Pelikan Toledo M 700 in silver and black, Fine nib.

Have a great day today and always.

I'm so looking forward my Toledo 710...!!! I also have an incoming 600 Fine nib fitted as a stub. Once I gather all those babies together I'll be posting pictures.

Thank you for the great picture...!!

They Pelikan Toledos are literally one of the last hand crafted pens in the market today.

You can find a few videos on You Tube that will help you appreciate what it takes to craft one of them. The really are lovely!

My Compliments!

I meant to buy the 710, with silver trim, but the store ordered the gold 700 and I declined to pursue the purchase. I might reconsider and go for a 700... for the right price.

Nothing wrong with the gold as both of them are really gorgeous pens and works of art!

You are going to pay for a Toledo. No way around that, but in my mind that is just the way it is. It's like acquiring a Montblanc Hemingway. There is nothing about that FP that makes it worth $2500.00, but if you want to see it in your collection you are going to lay down the $$$.

But that is okay. Just the way it is and I would not hesitate to purchase a Toledo if it is a pen you really want. What dollar amount would you place on the joy of ownership? Gotta be worth something. Perhaps the most valuable tangible of all when it comes to collecting.

I am envious and not in a bad way!

As in watches, I prefer the "white" materials (ss, white gold, platinum...) But at the end, especially with pens, it's not a deal breaker. I'll hunt for the right Toledo.

Thank you for your kind responses. And thank you for trying to keep this forum alive...!!

It is no effort to keep the forum alive guys! Superb pens and watches will always go together.

I have a $14000.00 watch on my arm and a $4700.00 pen in my pocket.

What is there to keep alive?

I haven't got the guts to make a pen purchase in that territory yet! That's big time Richard!! PS I'm meaning to post in your "pic of yourself with your watch/pen" thread. It's been a busy month and I've had to divert resources elsewhere due to my local political climate. I do have 3 late incoming posts planned though despite the emergency out going funds
