It's the right choice IMHO between the two in question. I have a very sikilar GSSD which I dearly love.

Ill likely go that route next although it may need to be a model with the other bracelet. Ill wait for preowned next time though

I guess mine also has the 3 piece bracelet. I had the a watchmaker adjust the bracelet for me. A man's got to know his limitations.

As you know it's a solid enough bracelet and I don't foresee any problems with mine with regular use nor do I see any problems with the half links IF they're installed. It's like the non-SEL Rolex end links on earlier models... you can crush them with finger pressure but when they're secure with spring bars they're robust.
