Hell No But I'm in the camp who just doesn't 'get' RM at all. If you love the watch, and it's considered a good deal, go for it. |

Noway. Not for that RM, some RM looks nice but some looks cheap with lots of stamped parts.

A beautiful collection should be anchored by a watch that feels truly special to you. My anchor is the PP 5712 and I wouldn't trade it for anything. (although the 5990 sometimes calls to me...lol) If the RM could be your anchor, then you should consider trading "lesser pieces" for it. But, for what it's worth, I don't see the RM as having the versatility or beauty of the lovely collection you'd be sacrificing. In fact, while I greatly admire RM pieces, I generally don't care for them on the wrist. |

You will regret it in 6 months or less. It’s just a fad watch.

My love for RM remains unaltered, but I won't take on such a deal as far as am concerned. However, don't let us stop you if that's what you want.

RM is really, really special, but it's not everyones thing. Short of a couple models, RM flies way more under the radar than many pateks or Rolex watches do to 99 percent of people. I have my first coming from boutique in a few months, and am REALLY excited. I've also hit the point where I've had most "normal" high end pieces and am trying to have stuff thats REALLY special and REALLY unique. If you're ready for that, you're ready for RM. So maybe not for this specific one, but the desire won't wane till you end up with one...

Can anyone briefly explain the allure of a RM? It never has done much for me(not that I can afford it - but still).
Materials and exclusivity, that's it? Any innovations in movement etc etc? Not knocking anyone who owns one or desires one I just don't understand the draw.

I’d probably get a RM55 before the AD even offer any of the Nautilus to me. Seems like you’re giving up a lot. Not a huge fan of this 35.
Maybe tell them instead of 10k cash, they can have the Apple Watch lol. Another thing for consideration is how much wrist time have these pieces been getting. You seem to have quite a few pieces, I wouldn’t mind downsizing so they all get decent wrist time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I can imagine that the RMs really do fly under the radar like no other six digit watch. Unless you are in South Beach or at a Hollywood party, no one who saw it on your wrist would think it was expensive or special. It's the ultimate "unless you know watches..." piece.

I just searched chrono first RM that popped up was a red 177k QUARTZ watch - God Bless them and the people who like them. Different strokes for different folks. OP - Don't give up that many pieces for 1 unless you REALLY know you need to have it.
