Can’t hate it. Elon pushed it way up. I remember talking would it hit 20 and it at one point hit 50. Crazy. This is the people’s crypto for sure. This will be the next Bitcoin. Funny Elon hated the Bitcoin and now takes it for Tesla. I believe in it. See what happens. If you can spare a few hundred bucks, put in. A month or 2 of Starbucks money.

elon probably never hated bitcoin in the past year or so, all those tweets had a reason behind them. the dude is a massive troll and constantly says a lot of things are stupid, so yeah maybe 5 years ago he thought it was dumb but not in the past year. he was researching and then buying bitcoin behind the scenes while pumping dogecoin so he could get better bitcoin prices. then he was finished and tweeted how it was inevitable that he got into bitcoin and what happened to the price? it went up

doge is the opposite of what bitcoin is so it probably doesn't have a future but hopefully people take profits and enjoy the easy money lol

Doge is still being mined and the future looks good. It is shared and scalable. If Coinbase picks it up I believe it will shoot a lot higher. Right now it is wicked affordable. Everyone can afford to lose at this price. Yes it’s a crap shoot but so wasn’t bitcoin in it’s infancy.

there is no way to short it. so it will go up. basically just a pump. it will probably dump at some point. who knows when.

im not hating. good for those who are making cash off of it.

Some people seem to think it'll reach $1

Do some simple maths. Look at the Doge Coin market cap, for it to hit $1 it's market cap would exceed Bitcoin, Eutherium and several of the other big coins combined.

That is never going to happen. There might be some small gains to be made as it fluctuates, but more than that is a pipe dream.

it would have to be $10 to exceed bitcoin now. $1 is definitely possible but not warranted

I personally don't know about such things, but my bowling coach gave his youngest son $100, which his son invested in Dogecoin.

Yesterday, during my lesson, my coach got a call from his son who said the value was up to $500.

His son was very excited, but my coach was less so.

That is all.

A lot of the volume leading in to the most recent run up was through an exchange called Houbi, out of China. They have a history of inflating volume of transactions through wash sales. It is possible the recent hype was initiated by them pumping the price and volume and getting other people to start buying in. With social media it is much easier these days to get lots of people involved quickly. This could work long term once enough people have exchanged their real money for doge, or people could get spooked and run for the exits. There is money to be made but don't be the sucker left holding the bag weeks, months, or years from now.

If it gets to 1 dollar I'll treat myself to a new Explorer, and send a thank you message to the sub Reddit

I bought twenty bucks worth this morning just as an experiment.
Let’s see how quick I lose it.

I bought some last night and I thinks I caused the price drop. I never do well with these things. Oh well. I'm just going to forget about it for a while and see where it goes.

Doge is a momentum play... there is little utility.

you might have missed all the movement already.

it's a gamble if the pump is going to continue enough to make it worth while... do you feel lucky?

My kids told me about it early on. They got it at like $.004 of course they only bought like $50 so when it was worth $75 they sold all excited.

So a few weeks ago as we were sitting around on a Sunday they set me up with a Robinhood account. I (we) bought $250 ($.07/share) for FOMO. It was up $1K yesterday. They told me to sell it. I told them no way. We are riding this one out. If I lose all $250 (as I planned to) it was more fun than burning it in Vegas. We have some good Sunday laughs.

I did the same back in February and bought $500 worth of Doge at $.05. I sold it later in the month at a small profit. I still can’t believe it sit up the way it did over the past few days. Oh well.
