Streaming music sucks
They constantly push things I don't want, my album menu is always crowded with things I'd never want, who they think they are. God bless vinyls and cds.

Streaming can definitely be convenient, but I vastly prefer listening to vinyl records (or CDs even).

I like my digital audio files played brought a DAC for jazz and classical. However, the convenience of streaming means I listen to Spotify or Pandora 90% of the time. Plus it really has helped broaden my musical tastes.

Yeah wth is with Apple Music lately? I play a playlist on shuffle and when the playlist is done instead of stopping or repeating it just randomly starts playing songs I don’t even have in my library. I think it’s a ploy to use more data from those that don’t have unlimited.

I'm the opposite. I really like Apple Music....so much music at my fingertips and suggestions from the service are appreciated. I discover music I never would otherwise have listed to. I don't have the time like when I was a teenager to explore/experiment. ;-)
I also spend a lot of time commuting, so streaming is convenient. |

Back in the day I remember the "real' audio guys had a Teac Reel to Reel. I only listen to music in my car so I have an old iPhone and 2000 songs recorded. I know, I know.....I'm ashamed.

We have a lot on vinyl at home. And my whole music library (mostly .Flac) is all just files on my pc and phone. No streaming here.

I use Amazon music with prime, no ads, really solid. Most streaming services are great if you use it consistently, build playlists and find stations or channels you like. With ads, it’s not great.

Why don't you just buy/download the music to your laptop/phone/media player, organize them how you want and listen just like it was a CD/cassette/vinyl.
Quality isn't the same for sure but at least you get to hear what you want to hear. I have a lot of music in my iTunes but I tend to use it less and less. I have a spotify subscription and I love it. I make playlists, download artists I like, and tune in to artist or genre radio stations. Seems to have everything I need and want, streaming seems more convenient nowadays. |

I've embraced Apple Music since signing up for the family Apple One plan. I appreciate no difference in the sound as compared to CD on any of my listening setups, and the convenience and variety cannot be beat by traditional music media. My wife is holding onto Pandora mostly because she likes the variety of playlists better.

I buy a lot of Flac files and have them on a micro sd card for my DAP and also stream from Tidal, I have a subscription so download my playlists from there for offline listening. My wife, likes and uses Spotify.

Slip into a tie dyed, roll a fat one, park myself in front of the lava lamp and munch on whatever's handy. I guess the only down side is, they keep cutting in with obituaries of the band members. It's getting pretty depressing..... Hey, who ate all the chips??? I think there's another bag here somewhere....
