The 127 is a big watch as a first Panerai and a lot of dosh for a basic movement and not particularly limited supply. A 372 or 422 would be a more 'sensible' approach. Although I'm not necessarily promoting being sensible.

At a glance the 233 is very similar, and on all counts, a better watch - in my opinion, but also objectively...

Ooh, 47mm watches, not sure I have the wrist for these beauties, but this is where I need shops to re-open to get a selection of sizes, case styles, plus the depth from Automatic and Manual movements on my wrist and see what suits me best.

I am so looking forward to this hunt in the months ahead.
