Why is a Panerai called a PAM? I have no idea someone please enlighten me. Thanks

Pam stands for PAnerai Model

it really is used to describe each model IE: Pam88, Pam321 etc..........

Because people feel the need to give stuff a nickname is my best guess. I've done it myself. But I'm more apt to call it a Panerai or Rolex. Either way is fine and we all know what they mean.

But the above poster is correct. PAM = PAnerai Model

oem = original equipment manufacturer

meaning the strap was sold by Panerai.

oem is true for anything, whether it is a computer, a camera, a rolex, etc. Basically any equipment released by the manufacturer.
