Submariner Cyclops Magnification

Got this back from Dallas service center today. The date mag looks like maybe x2 and not x2.5. What do you guys think? Send it back? Old crystal was chipped so they repaired it with this one. Thanks!

Interesting. It does look smaller than usual.

Yeah not sure if I want to send it back or not. Looks like a faulty crystal.

I have a nipple dial 1680/8 with the same (less magnifying) cyclops - mine's not crystal of course. I'm guessing the service centre(s) have/had different 'strength' cyclops.

If it's bothering you, send it back fellah.

Got the new AR crystal installed. Magnification is back to normal. So glad I swapped it out. Here’s a before and after.
