Which Rolex would you wear even if it didnt say Rolex on the dial

Take away the branding and hype factor, what mode would you still be wearing?

Pretty much all of them. The nice caseshape, relative thin profile and the nicely tapered bracelet.. don‘t know many other alternatives which aren’t hommage watches. The Cellinis on the other hand I can live without

Honestly, I'm not really into watches, I'm into Rolex.

Take away the brand and I doubt I'd wear a watch.

I am 44 and always immediately pictured a Submariner in my head when someone said wrist watch.

I do not care about hype or investment value but I did want Rolex on the dial. Big Swiss brands boast how they are all about tradition with 200/300 years under their belts. Rolex is a newer comer, relatively speaking, I love how they came in late to the game and literally crushed it. That is one reason I own/like/supoort Rolex and Tudor.

There are a lot of Rolex copies ranging from Pagani up and people people being truthful that the name doesn't matter would just buy those (and save themselves a lot of money), of course the name matters, Rolex was the and still is the watch the average guy aspires to owe when he retires. It's been that symbol of commemorating a long and successful career for as long as I can remember.

Submariner for sure.

Daytona because I can’t read anything Rolex on it anyway !!!

Actually, as others above have said … all of them.

I am drawn to Rolex, over other brands, for the reliability, durability, and foremost because I honestly believe that they are the best looking watches.

I like the Coronet … but I like the watches more.

I didn't and don't wear my Rolexes because of the logo or the hype. In addition, I wore Rolex even when the hype was nowhere near what it is now.

But if I think about it a little bit, then I woud say that I'd rather say that actually in today's world, I might prefer to wear an unbranded Rolex, because this behaviour could be safer to wear in some areas of the World. The only problem is, that even in this case could be true, that anyone who isn't stupid can recognize a Rolex even without the logo.

I fell in love with the Submariner when I saw one in a Rolex ad in National Geographic. I was about 14 at the time, and the brand itself didn't mean anything to me. I just loved how the watch looked.

If one were to take away the branding on the dial, I would still love the Sub. And as an aside, I would probably love mine even more if they would take away "officially certified"...

They could remove a whole lot of writing from my DSSD dial, including Rolex, and I'd still wear it

It’s an interesting question actually …

I wonder if the question were tweaked into a two part: what ones would you own and at what price?

Any of them. Rolex on the dial doesn’t matter - the watch is instantly recognizable without the logo.

Would you be prepared to pay the same price ?

Edit: I guess to expand on this question … to those who say they would, are we then saying that there is no value in the brand name?

The Sub is a great watch, but without the branding there is zero chance that anyone here is paying $10,000 for it.
