"My" PAM - the 233

Ok to all Panerai owners here, how do ya’ll set exact time on your watch when it doesn’t have minute markers in between the 5-10-15-20 and so on... how do you set the time if its say 9.37 or 3.28 etc. That’s something that bothers me that you may not be able to set the exact minute hand if the time in minutes isn’t in multiple of 5. I know noob question and am not a panerai owner and love the pam0233 and was seriously considering it sometime back.. might still do for my next watch as most Rolex models are hard to get!

It's pretty simple, you wait 'till it's 5 / 10 / 20 / 25 / 35 / 40 / 50 / 55 past the hr... . Seriously, with the 233, we're talking about an eight-day PR... so you only need to set it once and you're GTG for at least 8 days...

Hey there traveller, can you please link me where you wrote your story as to why you decided on the 233, I'm very interested in reading it fully?

And now, I'm going to read the post with all the images

Absolutely fantastic imagery, beautiful. I cannot send a link yet as I am a total newbie, but when I can I will send one, I simply asked the question....Speedy or 233?

seriously they're stunning, and as a deliberator as to whether to splash the cash on a 233, this is certainly making my decision easier

Apologies for the late reply - this is a generic (genuine) croc - there is no name on the underside...I like the tones of this one, thanks

One major factor here as well with all these stunning images, is that the watch is always in pristine cleanliness order!

Love the watch and love the message, but don’t forget to change your strap too. Go for rubber/silicone that can be easily cleaned with soap and water.

233 for sure, but I buy all my Panerai prenowned. I helped my buddy buy speedy. It is nice too but the 233 is a more unique look. I prefer the 233 dot. But the pm/am is nice too.

As it's on another forum, I will not provide the link out of respect for TRF - (my absolute favorite forum!!!)

However, Google "Officine Panerai 233" (with quotation marks) and you should be GTG

Apples and oranges, I'd say... besides completely different complications, there's also the question of size & fit (very individual), price(!) historical ties and so on. Furthemore, there's only one "233" but 1000 "Speedys" so which actual model (or at least which series) are you focusing on?

Maybe a qood question for this forum as well - but as a preferably separate post

p.s. Correct answer: both
