Speedmaster CK 2998 Limited Edition (2018)

Hey guys,

I'm looking to add my first omega to the collection...and this one caught my eye.

Yet I can't seem to find one.

Any leads?

Thanks!

I would be interested in knowing current market value. There seem to be a couple on chrono24 for around $7k. Is this watch worth that much?

If you like it I'd get it now instead of waiting. As with most limited run pieces, they're worth whatever the market will bear. The CK2998 had a production run of 2,998 and originally retailed for $5850 so $7k doesn't seem to be that high a premium yet. On the other hand, the Apollo 13 limited edition model (1,970 pieces) went for $7,350 at retail and now goes for around $24k on the second-hand market. A few of the unique Speedmaster pieces seem to have caught the eye of the market and steadily (or quickly) risen well past their original retail prices. The "tin-tin" model could be found for $3-4k only a few years ago right here on rolexforums and now goes for $7-10k.

Are you specifically looking for a P2P offering and not a dealer?

I only ask because a quick search shows 2 dealers with stock on Chrono24.

One here and the other here. There's also this one at Essential Watches of Beverly Hills.

It will be hard for them down the line
Most people in healthcare are gobbling them up due to pulsations scales

congrats. I owned the blue/white and black/white and just traded the latter unworn BNIB with DSW. i've owned a total of 6 omegas in my time collecting 3 of them were CK2998s. Im down sizing these days so have no more omegas in the collection but no doubt they are nice.

Omega actually jacked up the price on these at the last minute to $6500, I passed when I had a chance. Anywhere near that price would be pretty good I think.
