If I were to be limited to one GO, regardless of the series I'd make sure I would opt for something with the Panodate.
I find it to be one of the best date complications at almost any price point. It's that spectacular. Both independent date wheel numbers are on the same plane for a seamless appearance. The instant roll is very satisfying and the date is visible for those 50+ without the need of magnification. I'm saving (well waiting) for an Explorer II, but after that my sights are set on a SeaQ PD or PML. And yes the PML follows the inspiration of the Lange I, but I love that they both come from within a square block of one another and celebrate that GO provides a more affordable option to those who crave the beauty of an asymmetric dial. Also, find me a movement costing just four figures (typically discounted) as beautifully finished as the GO PML. Is a GO a Lange? Of course not, nor should it be, although the comparisons are inevitable due to design and heritage. That said, the "poor mans Lange" maxim is very frustrating. I've never seen a poor man wearing a Glashutte, and if I did, I'd compliment him on one heck of a watch. |

Their panodate really is not only one of the best big dates out there but to me one of the most nicely done complications in general out there. Flipping through the dates it's so crisp and satisfying and just feels so well made.
