Tudor 7016? Hessfineauctions

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/334805252619

This doesn't look quite right to me. It states insert and dial are aftermarket / redials but even the case looks odd?

thoughts?

Crown as well AM. Case looks not good as OP mentioned. Would like to see the engravings.

What's not good with the case? Looks fine with me and the seller states it might be a service dial, so I can't imagine how another member can say it's an aftermarket dial? It's obviously a Tudor so don't understand that comment either.

Just check the CB engravings. Absolutely off.

A,V,E of GENEVA and the style of the crown is totally different. For comparison a image of a trusted dealer.

.
Also sloppy inside caseback markings.
Here are a couple of pictures of a caseback from the net, previously owned by @Linesiders, hopefully he and/or TURO will chime in on this. As well as a picture of hessfine's caseback.

Not keen on case or caseback. One little tell on CB engraving is the A and O are too far away from the equally suspect coronet, the case is Uber box fresh, an odd shape, and has absolutely no endlink (U shaped) indent wear whatsoever.

Yep! Looks like one of the typical vietnam fakes where someone used a polishing machine and tried to "refinish" the ultrafat case to look old.

One of us here sent Hess Auctions a friendly email suggesting case/cb etc not original-hopefully they took it down.

Case is no good, crown guard shape is wrong (top & bottom), bezel, insert, terrible hands, aftermarket dial, etc.

Maybe ; )

Side note, on a very rare occasion they have something not quite Kosher, and once presented with the info, they remove them.
