Icon5 Jewelers Mutual for insurance or someone else?

Is Jewelers Mutual still the best option for insurance on a DD40 or is there a better option?

I have my wife’s jewelry insured with JM and they are great. Had an instance where wife lost a piece and they replaced quickly and without issue. They are more expensive than some of the alternatives.

Recently purchased new Rolex and have a number of competitors will lower premiums and zero deductible. IE: Chubb, Hodinkee to name a couple. Google around and you’ll get a number of options.

Go with another option if you can…my insurance costs about $3 per $5k value from what I calculate on mine (per mo.). I’m sure that’s not how it exactly works, but much better than JM. Includes all the bells/whistles with no deductible including mysterious disappearance.

My wife’s jewelry is with JM, but my watches are with Hodinkee (Chubb). Hodinkee is much more watch centric and very easy to deal with…

Renters/home owners…doubt it would be more expensive than JM. Mine isn’t.
