IMG_20230324_165413_(750_x_650_pixel).jpgJust saw this Nascar roller outside of a Karting place. Kinda sad a bunch of presumably kids stomped the hood in.
Was kinda cool to see how bare bones they are up close. Haven't been to a race since I was a kid. |

The garage looks amazing...all I have to say is that you gave your hard-earned money to the right contractor. It's going up pretty quickly. Thats the best news!

Yes, tucked away in storage. Don’t drive it much, sitting at 1,200 miles

Very nice but I don’t understand not building in concrete block and then brick facing. Possibly might last much longer - maybe this is a EU/UK thing. Having said that quality wood over here is very expensive. |

Yeah in Europe homes are built to last, in the USA most homes (except those in hurricane prone areas) are built with little more than sticks, paper, and glue with facades added.

Interesting that; the houses in Rosemary Beach (FL panhandle) are built with concrete throughout and once inside feel very robust and feel like they would last forever. A lovely place. Are there significant valuation differences between houses built of wood versus concrete? |

This is somewhat my arena. I am not a home builder but I interact with them almost every day. I personally know of many apartments recently built in a gulf coast Florida town that are entirely wood except for the elevator shaft. These are 3 and 4 story buildings with 24 to 48 units per building. I asked the builder why wood? They said it literally cut their cost in half and that it was still rated 155 mph. Every single family home I see going up is concrete block (at least on the ground floor). There is one builder that I deal with that does block for the second floor as well. This is out of 30+ developers. My personal opinion is if it’s newer than the 60’s I wouldn’t buy anything but a concrete block house for my family. Built before the 60’s it can be wood if that’s a house my family wants. As for resale valuation, the old wooden houses I have looked at have been grand homes. So it’s hard to compare a 3 story 100 yr old mansion made of wood to a concrete house of comparable size. One will be significantly newer. Sent from my Apple privacy invasion product |

The houses being built in our area of Naples FL are all concrete block through at least the second story. I imagine the construction preferences change depending on location (proximity to the beach) and land value. Of course those tend to go together so builders are more apt to spend the extra on concrete if the land is 7 or 8 digits...

In Puerto Rico (hurricane and seismic / earthquake prone area) houses tend to be masonry / croncrete (walls and roof) as well, but there are also wood houses which if built well will withstand category 5 hurricanes. There is no need here for insulation since we are in the Caribbean and don’t have cold climate that would otherwise require insulation so that is a factor as well since concrete is not a good temperature insulator and adding it up would be then be even be a more expensive / complex construction Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Spotted this G Wagon leaving lunch today.
Some people talk about the thrill of exotics wearing off with their rise in popularity. But I still get excited anytime I see something remotely cool lol Never seen one this color |

Well I took the plunge and closing on a deal that’s landing me with a dream car to join my GTR in the stable. Hopefully taking delivery this week, but words can’t express how excited I am about this pick up. Here are some dealer pics of the soon to be mine 2012 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder Performante
