The former AP dealer in Michigan had a RQ sitting in his display case for $30k 4-5 years ago that I almost bought. Like a jack@SS I decide to buy another Rolex

I think the RQ is the newest release but point taken. Steve hallock (grey dealer) had sold some early brass FPJ tourbs for like 60k and the same watch was auctioned last year for like a million bucks haha we could all lament over missed opportunities in equities etc but with watches it’s different because you want the watch!

It gets better. The (really nice) guy who sold this to me was really, really wanting me to buy his "matching" Resonance too -- which had the Regence dial. I didn't like the Resonance so he sold that one to someone else later (a woman, he said).

But you really did get one of the nicest Journes I've ever seen. That and the Optimum are two of my favorite current versions.

FYI, all of FPJ's watches don't look nearly as good as they should because he refuses to use AR-coated crystals. That's why we hardly ever see decent pics -- there's always a reflection. Probably around 2016, I visited the FPJ repair facility in the US (Miami) and got to see a huge variety of his dials uncased, without their crystals. I specifically asked to see those. They look SO much better "naked" (especially the CB)!

That Resonance is to die for!

I also like the CO and is hoping to add one to my collection before a new version is out. For the CO, it is not the dial side which got me but the technical detail and the movement side, especially with the dead beat second on the back. Unfortunately I was told that the wait is going to be long.

Thank you! I am very happy to be a father. I am also very happy that I went with the 42mm version. That watch sits beautifully on the wrist.

Haha. My Havana arrived 2 weeks before my wife went into labor. So yes, it was a photo session with my actual baby and new watch

I don't recall the exact number, but I was told it went up close to around $3,000.

I read somewhere that the sapphire dial minute repeater is louder than the regular silver dial. Anyone here was lucky enough to have listen to both and can attest to it?

FFC finally made it into the Journe collection. They slotted it right behind the tourbillon. I am going to say $500k retail price.

I don't have the exact figures but it's around S$1.4m. There or abouts.

I highly doubt that this will be priced 40% above the Astronomic. When I first discussed this watch at the Beverly Hills boutique with Laurent in 2021 the ball park figure was $300k. Catalog placement is also indicative of where the price point will be.

Yeah I also remember talking to my local boutique about it when I had visited in late '21/early '22 and heard that it'll be positioned above the TV and in the $300k range. I would hope that's still the case

I think 820000 is in CHF and not USD. In either case, it is way out of my league.
