New Sumo GMT - Anyone Have One?

I’ve been looking for a fun, colorful Seiko dive watch for the Summer, and I had it narrowed down to a Hulk Sumo or a King Turtle. Then I saw the new Sumo GMT’s…

Wow. The blue dial seems to check off everything I want for a summer watch, and throws a true GMT complication into the package as well. The only drawback is that it’s a solar powered quartz, and I haven’t owned a quartz watch since I was a kid. But even that seems like an advantage now that I think of it. I won’t have to wind or set the time every time I put it on, and +15 seconds/month sounds amazing for a weekend watch.

Does anyone have one yet? I’m curious about first impressions.

I do like it; however, the mix of diver and GMT seems a little confused function wise. Still, rare for someone to buy a diver to actually dive, it's just a popular style. I do love my green Sumo, great mix of quality and price within the Seiko line up.

You may not have the 3rd time zone tracking function but you do have a certified dive watch function, which is a great addition. Looks fantastic too. Mechanical versions coming out in June.

I think it would make a fantastic adventure watch, it's great! Of the two the blue version appeals to me even more.

Very attractive, but I have a green Sumo, so too similar for me. But it may be novel for other’s collections.
