One of these days, I should ask my wife that question. It’s probably the equivalent of 1 Rolex Submariner per year.

Ha, we do that too. I always think it’s funny we frantically start picking up before our cleaning person comes.

She only comes every two weeks though so I’m things do pile up (newborn baby, 5 year old, dog and busy parents).

The wife insisted on hiring a house cleaner a few years ago (we both shared the duties, but I did more than she did, honestly) and then with Covid we dropped it and now we got someone else doing it... I too really don't like the idea of strangers going through my stuff and I did lose $200 (cash) because I stupidly left it out and honestly couldn't remember (and still can't) if I did leave it out or spent it or deposited it, so I didn't feel like confronting the cleaner.

But it is nice to come home to a clean house and not having to do some of those chores. I still mow the lawn and do most of the landscaping duties, but I'm starting to outsource more of that stuff.

I use the same crew that does my showroom, they do a great job

We used to do it before kids but now spending a Sunday vacuuming and cleaning toilets seems like a waste

Lawn and vehicles I enjoy doing

I have a cleaning lady who comes in every four weeks. My house cleaning has been done by a cleaner for the past ten years.

I clean my house and the most of the neighbor's houses.

I also do their laundry and ironing.

Basically it's just a hobby.

Not wishing to show off, but I leave any plates or cups I have used in the general area of the dishwasher.

We moved on from our cleaning service when Covid started. Between the family we get it done every weekend. With that said, I think I’m really the only one that’s OK with the arrangement, everyone else is begging to have them back.

I just hired someone for twice a month.

I do it better. And prefer it. But they get the details. Which I definitely need help on.

I have a cleaning crew that comes in every other week. Zero trust issues with them, they have been working for people I know for 20+ years. I do have to straighten up a bit before they get there.

Also have a gardener. When I moved into my house 12 years ago, I had planned on taking care of the yard myself, and letting the gardener go, but when I saw that he came every week and only charged $100 a month, I kept him on.

As far as washing/detailing cars, I do that 100% myself, I actually enjoy it.

Ever since I started working from home the past few years, I clean my own house. However, I have someone who does all the yard work.

A guy that used to work for us said he finally hired a maid because his wife was so lazy, every time he got drunk and needed to take a leak, the sink was full of dishes!

I enjoy cleaning. It’s like therapy for me. Never had a house cleaner that met my expectations.. I’ve tried a lot of them and been very explicit with wants and needs. No dice.

I’ve had a housekeeper for 35 years. I see no reason to start cleaning my own house at this stage of the game. Our housekeeper and pool boy come every Mon, our yard guy comes every Tues. They’re all worth every penny we spend on them.

I will NOT have our resident TechExpert clean houses and cars when he should be fixing watches while drunk.

Send me your bank info and we’ll get a collection going; say, $250k… that should do it for good cleaning no?
