DRSD Thoughts and Flip question !

Hello TRF

There is a possibility for me to flip my 1665 MKI (excellent condition) and my 5513 Maxi MKI (excellent condition) + 5000$$ for this DRSD : follow the link >> http://www.exoticwatches.net

Do you think it worth it ?

Thx you guyz

Here we go again... didn't you recently agonize over a similar trade involving your Bart Simpson (http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=376366).

Now you want to give up a 5513 Maxi (still listed as incoming in your signature!) and $5K to essentially swap two lines of SD text from white to red... that's a lot to part with for a color change.

That lower CG looks pretty gnarly. I wouldn't personally do it. Dial/hands look pretty good though.

Aucune probleme, didn't mean to suggest you're asking a lot of questions... just that you're obsessing over parting with a lot to gain very little--including a beat-up case that Jason rightly calls gnarly.

karbo, please do not do this trade! The DRSD is very average and I would not even consider it (the crown guard issue will always be there and annoy you). The rest of the watch is only OK at best and doesn't have any stand out features to get excited about. My advice would be to wait for the perfect DRSD and you'll never regret the purchase.

Don't do it they are far to overrated , when you already have a 1665 all that money for two lines of red writing .

I think it looks nice, the crown guard is not an issue i think, a vintage watch showing some scars from his use is no dealbreaker...it is a toolwatch right !
all is in the dial when it comes to these reds and the dial looks great without any chips on the hash markers.

You'll better hurry to decide because i'm interested in this DRSD

Just mathematics, the marginal added "emotional" value (to me) when you already have a splendid 1665 MK1, vs the substantial extra cost. But that's just me.
