Incoming speedmaster 57

This arrived today. Loving the style of the bracelet, the warmth of the dial and the recessed lume. Can't see any micro adjustment which is a little annoying as I could do with a couple of mm extra. I may need a 0.75 link if they are even available to buy.

Anyone have one of the 57 versions that could perhaps count how many links theirs came with to make sure I got the full set given I bought pre-owned? Not including end links and clasp I have 7 links at the 6 o'clock side, 8.5 links on the 12 o'clock side and a half link in the box.

It's a thick watch but not as tall on the wrist as I feared. Not something I would wear with a dress cuff anyway. A few pics below...

Looks great! The girth has scared me away from this one in the past, but you can’t deny it’s got the looks.

Worth trying one on if you like the look. It's not going to side under a formal cuff but that's not the point of this watch. While the stated thickness is large a big chunk of that is the display case back and crystal, both of which have a dome effect to them. The actual case is not too thick and has a nice profile so it wears well IMO. A flatter case back, perhaps even non display, would be a great mod but I don't think anything would be available unfortunately.

Great looking watch. I think it looks fine thickness wise. Do you know what the measurement is?

I think it is 16mm ish officially which seems very thick but wears thinner IMO. Width is 41.5mm I believe

Yes but the good thing is it’s not all case side like some. There are different bits such as bezel, sapphire etc which breaks it up and makes it wear thinner than the official measurements.

I had that exact one!! Really liked it a lot. I put a brown strap on it from time to time. Also, the look of the bracelet is superb, enjoy that beauty!!

Have owned many. Great looking watch with an excellent 9300 movement. I wear Deep Seas, Planet Ocean chronos. I always used the '5 as a dress watch. Could never get past not having micro adjustments. There are full and half links. I always had to move them around to get a decent fit.
