I mostly agree with this but I have recently purchased a SPB101J1 with the new 6R35 movement and I’m so surprised by its time keeping. It’s been on my wrist, bedside table and winder and since Boxing Day has not lost more than 20 seconds. On par with my the Sub and SM. Did I get lucky?

I went the opposite and ditched Seiko brand from my collection and went Rolex and haven’t looked back.
Which models are made in China?

I’m looking to add a SKX007 to my collection. I don’t like the new Seiko 5 line.

Yes, manual wind and hacking.

Dial quality is excellent and the movement looks good at the price point.

My 4R movements in my turtle and Samurai are more accurate than the 8L35 in my Marinemaster.
