Part of the appeal of Grand Seiko is the spring drive tech and quartz accuracy they achieve. I'm sure the hi beats are great movements but if I'm adding a Grand Seiko to my collection I want to add one with the characteristics they do best. To me that includes titanium case and spring drive movement.

Just visited an AD last weekend.

Had tried on a Snowflake and Blue Snowflake with few of the “season” watches. Why not just go with the latest and new Blue Snowflake with a leather strap? My vote goes to SBGA211 of the two.

I’m still deciding mySelf which to pull the trigger.

I really liked winter. The gold GS logo, the blue second hand, box crystal, super light weight, and spring drive. I like the snowflake, but the hour markers threw me. At the end of the day, you can't really go wrong. Owning both, maybe at different times, could also be an option.

I like the dial of the snowflake more than the dial of the winter.

But I like the case of the winter more than the case of the snowflake.

Ultimately, I'd go with which dial I liked best.

I just bought a Spring yesterday. All of those choices are great and all slightly different, I just wore them all yesterday.

I’d rank on this order

1. Spring
2. Winter
3. Snowflake
4. The other Hi Beat seasons are no slouches either.

These are such a good deal compared to Rolex and AP though, you could get multiple

I’m with you on all three counts.
