Jura Espresso Machine

Looking for advice, buying experiences, feedback about Jura Espresso Machines. I am considering buying the Ena 5, C60, or A1. Any others I should consider at <$1k. Is there a time when these go on sale?

A bit of background: I have a standalone milk preparation unit which I prefer to the steam wand. Used to have a capresso espresso machine which wasn't bad for several years. I have a nespresso original which I like, but am considering moving that to the bay house.

Amazing bean to cup quality!

I have the E8. It makes all the usual milk drinks (latte etc) but without the effort of the steam ‘wand’. It really is a one touch bean to cup machine.

I upgraded from a Moka pot & standalone milk machine and will never look back.

My one and only criticism is they take a lot of expensive maintenance.

I have an S9 and it's treated me well for the better part of 6 years. I make coffee at least once a day with it....either cappuccinos, lattes or long blacks. I love that it uses whole beans. The espresso has a great crema. I would definitely recommend one.

I've got a E6. It has a little over 15,000 cups on it. Never a problem. Fantastic burr grinder & brew system. Espresso to latte and everything in between. Highly recommend. It's a tank.

think we have the A9. we love it. we got it on sale at sur la table. I think we got 20% off. normally, jura doesn't participate in the sale, but the manager did it for us.

For the price Jura is nice. If you spend a little more you should look at the Miele 6350. The routine Maintanance is very easy and the machine basically tells you what needs to be done. You have more control of the individual drinks. The milk is much hotter in the cappuccinos and the lattes. This is truly an amazing machine

I have had so many different automatic machines and Jura is the best. I brought my last 2 over from Zurich to US. Just retired my 3rd after 18K cups brewed.

Just picked up the Z6. It’s much more than what you want to spend but it’s the best I had so far.

Love love love my Jura. Has been Swiss perfection for 6 years. Only use Illy beans and eveone loves the coffee. I always say if there was a fire in my house I would grab my wife and kids, then the dogs and then the Jura. Watches are insured but I need my Illy/Jura.

After extensive research this is the machine that I want. Have yet to pull the trigger but it will be mine!

That said it is twice the OPs budget and then some.

Their repair/spare part cost are insane.
The new owners are only interested in selling new machines - nothing else

I have DeLonghi at home and we have Jura at work, it all depends on the coffee you put in it of course. I hardly notice a difference in terms of machine quality.

We have an Ena, had it for several years. Worked flawlessly and maintenance is easy, just add the cleaning pellets when it tells you and replace the water filter. We love it, highly recommend.

They are great. I have had two in the past 16 years. Their customer service is amazing. When something went wrong they change like $200 to fix it-no matter what it is. That included full shipping both ways. That’s saying along considering I have the old c5 which is like 30 pounds. Fixed and back to me in 2 weeks time completely refurbished, new filters, etc.

Didn't see this before we ordered the 6350, due in Wednesday. We have two vacuums and a Diamond Futura dishwasher and have been very impressed with the quality.
My wife liked the look of the Miele better as well, so there's that.
This thread has cost me over $2K. Thanks, I think.

Not to thread jack, you will love the Miele. Based on our usage I will recoup my money in 4 mo. I hope the service when needed will be good but if i run into real issues might be better off getting a new one. Since you just got yours there might be some appliance warranty you can get at a reasonable price. Also go on amazon to get the various cleaning tablets... well worth it

Meh I think you’re fine I’ve read numerous glowing reviews including Seattle coffee gear whom I place my faith in. Congrats I’ll get mine soon.

My C5 is almost 10 years old and still working great. Depending on how much you use it it will require some maintenance every now and then. Every machine needs it so nothing to worry about.

I usually replace seals and O-rings every 1-2 years by myself and have replaced the grinding gear once so far. There are great DIY manuals on the web and spare parts are quite cheap to order online.

Can attest to this issue. Brother-In-Law went Miele. Had a service issue. They first denied warranty for a very ridiculous reason then wanted excess $$ to fix it along with a long time to complete the work. He passed and bought a different brand.

We had a Miele vacuum cleaner that died.

It was cheaper to buy a brand new one than get ours repaired. Very disappointing considering the price. Returned to Dyson.

Back to Jura... my E8 is only a couple of years old however my dad has had his for as long as I can remember with zero issues.

Yes, with a Jura you simply put coffee beans in the hopper, water in the tank and watch the magic unfold!
