First GS - SBGE249

I have historically not been interested in GS. I have actually been pretty harsh on the brand. Honestly it was probably just a misinformed bias because I was linking it to Seiko (which I like but not something I would spend more than a few hundred on due to poor QC). Saw the SBGE249 in person and then proceeded to pine over it constantly for a month. Completely changed my stance on GS. This watch is fantastic. Great design, useful complication and a collaboration with a great shop (Timeless Luxury Watches) that employs good people. I feel really fortunate to have been able to get this one.

gorgeous watch, I placed an order for a 249 last month and it will be my first GS as well. Should receive it in Nov/Dec.

Whats your wrist size?

Congratulations. A beautiful watch. My AD is a PP dealer and has an in store Boutique and is also a GS/Seiko dealer. I look at both watch brands quite a bit and the GS is an alternative in certain models. Taking into account the cost I could make the point that I think GS is better.

It is a fabulous watch, your photography is also top notch, but I find that no photography can capture the magic and sparkle of a GS, I have 2 and had many a go.

Enjoy and wear your wonderful watch in the very best of health.

Congratulations Blake. It's beauty. I went through that same process a couple of years ago. Then I actually looked at them and was hooked. Just picked up an SBGA229 diver from Dan at the Zodiac event the other day (along with a Zodiac) and it is as well built and nicely finished as any diver I have ever owned. (including my BP and JC)

Wear it in good health.

I've seen a bunch of pics of this watch (congrats btw. She's a beauty), but never noticed the way the numbers are flipped on the bottom half of the GMT dial. It's the attention to detail that I love about GS. Not only did they move the dial to make it look clean, but thought about legibility of time from the owner's perspective. Now I really want one.

I’m in Denver, but know Dan well. He’s a true watch guy and I’m lucky to live out of town. I’ve bought two from him so far and if I was local, it could be more dangerous! Congrats again.

Do you have any idea what colors will be available? I've seen the brown and purple on insta. Timeless wouldn't share any details though or the price.
