Lmao.

It’s appropriate here.

Truth is, many skinny people are skinny, because they feel fat when they put on weight.

This was suppose to be a Progress thread lol. I wasn’t talking about how fat I am or was or will be. This is a progress thread for people who want to join me in dieting down some...weekly hence the title lol

Crazy how body types can be so different. I’m 6’2” as well and haven’t weighed 166 since the 5th grade. 242 lbs now and want to get to 225lbs like Sr year in High school. Even at 10% -12% body fat I was 235lbs benching over 600lbs. Old age is starting to set in and now it’s time to cut the heavy weight on the body and in the gym.

Best of luck with this.

A few things you should probably do:
1: Pics. These are actually the best way of telling how your body composition is changing. Weight fluctuates a lot and in any case isn't the be all and end all in these scenarios.

2: Log your diet. Including cheat meals/day.

3: Log your training, which ideally should be a combination of weight training and some kind of cardio.

4: Do all the above in this thread, so you're accountable.

600lbs raw or with bench shirt? Pretty impressive, world record worthy until around the mid 70s mind you.

I’ll probably log most of this weekly on IG and a pic here and there but no naked pics of me... I’m shy

Just log it somewhere.

The pics can be private on your phone but will be good for comparison purposes.

Last thing you want to be is skinny fat. (Same amount of fat as before, just a whole lot less muscle, you weigh less, but look much worse).

No BS bench shirt. T shirt, basketball shorts and my DC slippers is my typical bench attire. Killed my shoulders and joints though. Sticking to 495 for sets of 5-6 or 405 for sets of 15 was more typical. Many times had very petite girlfriend spotting me and the gym always gave me uneasy looks. I was 25 at the time and now at 38 my shoulders are messed up. Stick to 225 now but can still do 40+ reps.

Had some county record in HS as a junior at 455 if I remember correctly (it was awhile ago and I was more focused on football) Hated competitions because I had a little hip lift.

Solid! I also like to lift raw, don't even use a belt.

225 pounds 40+ reps is also impressive lol. Anything over 20 reps is considered super strong.

Watching what I’m eating and trying to keep my macros tight but went over on food so some LISS before bed. I been running consistently below target net calories and averaging the macros.

I’ll join in. 6’, 180lbs. Summer of ‘18 I was at 170-172 consistently. Getting back and staying at 170 would be great, 165 which I was last at around ‘15 would be even better but a lot harder. I’m a weekend warrior mountainbiker but have started this year so far riding four times a week.

In the last 3 months I've gone from 209lbs to 198lbs while gaining at least 30lbs on every one of my lifts. My waist is down 3 inches as well. I am on a deployment to the middle east and working out is about the only constructive way to pass time other than sleeping. I have 3 months to go and my goal is to get down to under 180lbs and under 10% body fat. BTW I'm 5' 9"

Week 1 Progress: Down from 185.3lbs. Probably some water weight but generally been disciplined with calories and macros but also had cardio 2-3x LISS. Not doing IF. Don’t plan on dropping the carbs until I my weightloss stalls.

Dude. You need a pedicure.

There’s a great place in a mutual mall we both go to.

I’m down about 6 lbs myself. I’ve got about 13 to go. Vegas this weekend, Hawaii next week. That can either make me, break me.

I can come back feeling great, or feeling horrible.

I’d say it’s a 50/50 split as yo which way it’s going to go.

My wife had suggested I let someone manscape me using laser but I’m like no. Lol

You are doing good, Ninja. Lift weights (not heavy, but lighter at about 15 - 20 reps) and don't eat bread at meals.
