Best of luck, tell us how it goes. Hopefully you can still snag one.

The 43mm FF wears small and more like a 41mm in appearance on the wrist.

FALSE. The answer in a moment

While checking out the Blancpain models in the only official boutique in the country, i was informed by the boutique GM that Blancpain is not COSC certified but..but.. THE only COSC Chronometer grade is any Blancpain fitted with the calibre 64-1( If I remember hearing it correctly)

Can you see the watch below, Brian ? That discontinued 40.5mm FF 50th Anniversary on the wrist of my WIS friend has an accuracy rate of +2.0 sec/day. The people I know who own the watch says Cal 1315 is highly accurate and nobody's complaining...

Hey ! Don't take my word for it. Why don't you read what Jack Forster has to say...

For others, like me, who found this thread and subsequently purchased a Fifty Fathoms: I took delivery of a Fifty Fathoms a month ago and wore it for two solid weeks before rotating back to my other watches. I’ve been wearing it every few days so the 90-hour reserve is nice to have.

I took it off last Sunday and placed it on a winder while I wore another watch a day until I got it back out yesterday, Friday. You know, when you buy a “nice” watch, you expect....demand accuracy.

The 1315 surprised me although my timer already confirm its accuracy. I have touched the time since I got it but seeing is believing:

Any owners of the FF automatique? Blue or black? Can’t decide which I like the most.

The Fifty Fathoms is an amazing watch, and if I'm being honest i think it knocks the socks of most other sports watches (including Rolex). Over the years I've owned...

Automatique

Dark Knight

No Radiations

Mil-Spec on sailcloth

Mil-Spec on bracelet

And now I have the Barakuda (which won't be going anywhere, as for me it's perfect!)

Phew.... great collection of FF over the years! I REALLY want the mil-spec on bracelet and love the Barakuda....

Recently got the black on bracelet and am a bit obsessed with it. Have a blue coming hopefully this week.

Same dilemma at one point, went with black because it is the classic and more timeless and easier to wear than the blue.

Last December walked into a Blancplain Salon and I had been thinking about buying a FF for years. Was showing off my knowledge to the wife about the 3 models laid out before me, when the sales man said he had a titanium one in the safe and would I like to see it.
That day I ended up going home with a new watch!
I really love it.

I went with a pre-owned blue stainless steel because I am not a huge fan of the full polished case and absolutely love the blue dial.

is there a reason Blancpain only offers 2 years warranty while other brands have 5 or more years ?

In fact the warranty is 3 years from a boutique. I expect at some point they'll increase the warranty period across the board.

Many manufacturers only offer 2 years - AP, PP, VC, etc. AP do offer an extended warranty though, as do Panerai (up to 6 years iirc). GS is 3 years as standard.

If you register on line with BP’s Circle of Connoisseurs, your 2 year warranty is increased to five years automatically. Not sure why this is not more widely known or publicised.

They don't even mention it on the connoisseurs registration page

Indeed a bit awkward. When I bought a FF at the boutique, they did not mention the extended warranty if you register your watch for the circle of connoisseurs. Did enroll and got the three years extra.

When did you register? I just did it and got the first paragraph after submitting, but not the second one regarding the extension.
