Any one own a Headwind?

It seems to be a strange watch-- day date on a dive watch?

Perhaps it is the unusual combination that has me thinking it might be something to add to the collection.

Given how long ago they were in production, I don't think my recent era Breitlings are going to be any indicator of how the Headwind might wear.

Does anyone have any first hand experience?

It looks like it might wear top heavy given the shape of the lugs and case, and the fact that it is 14mm tall.

Not sure but the seiko turtle has day and date and it’s a dive watch as well. I for one think it increases a watches versatility.

Yes, there are a few Seiko dive watches with day and date, and I think Orient as well, but it is unusual or non existent on dive watches for most brands, and I think the Headwind is the only Breitling dive watch with that feature.

Also, I can’t think of any other dive watch which has the day of the week spelled out completely in an arched window at the top of the dial like the Headwind (as opposed to a small abbreviation next to a date window at 3 o’clock, like the Seikos). In any event, it is an unusual design.

The brushed ones are super nice and their prices have dropped as Breitling is very, very soft.
