Opinions on this 1665?

Any red flags on the 1665? It has a service insert. The case looks sharp (?recut).

Any chance of some natural-light photos? These white-box photos make it a little tough to really gauge the level/tone of patina on the dial. I'd also want to see a blacklight/UV photo. The tritium looks discolored on a couple of the hour markers, especially 9 and 12, but depends on whether that bothers you or not.

I'm super nit-picky about cases, and I'm not crazy about the way this one has been polished, especially the way the lugs have been re-cut. The bevels are a little over-done and look too close to the lug holes, especially on the top right. The crown-guards are also a little too rounded for my liking, but maybe that's just me.

For comparison, here's the case on my DRSD, with what I believe are the original bevels on the lugs. Look at the distance to the lug hole.

Oh well. I had purchased this from Luxury Bazaar and they cancelled the transaction after I paid. They cited a QC problem, but I suspect they will relist it at a higher price.

I believe this is the same watch: https://www.hqmilton.com/timepieces/...nd-papers-A677

Definitely the same watch. And what kind of QC problem? On their end, or your end? What kind of established dealer cancels a transaction after you paid?

He would not explain the "QC" issue. He said "I don't have those details from the team, unfortunately, but I know it had to be pulled and shipped to our watch maker."

Personally I think they did you a favor and you can find better examples. And if it’s the same watch from HQ Milton, where’s the bracelet and B&P?

Also, those hands have been relumed/color-matched, which is why a UV/black light photo would have been important. That’s almost always a deal-breaker for me.

The papers were still included, but I'm not sure what happened to the bracelet.
