So not sure whether it is correct for this watch or not? I bought this piece from a collector who had it since late 90’s in a safe. Serviced once on his watch. He is pretty sure the first owner did not acquire insert switch although not hundred percent sure. If first owner cared about the looks, how come it was not polished? My question to Swaini3 was only because I'm just trying to learn something more about the different inserts from other partecipants. Don't take it personally, I was in the same position with my 1665, for year I thought it was fine until I posted on a forum and learn about the different insert. Here my SDDR with the wrong insert: IMG_7449.jpg and here now: IMG_3234 4.jpg Remeber that not many people used to pay attention to this details and in the 90' inserts cost few $$$ |

Insert labelling and eras are slightly different depending on which part of the world you're asking, for eg. some Mk4's are a Mark 3 for others .... I would imagine the majority would accept the labels/ notes I have made on your pic. (apologies to the owners of the pics). The one that I said is missing is shown below. The difference is noticed in the 4 and 5. |

nice watch, on top of service insert (which is common to see),
I don't think that bracelet was on the watch since 1983. wear on bracelet does not match wear on case... but it IS a nice 1665 ! nice dial and patina !
