Does anyone know if this piece can fit on a bracelet? Wei Koh said that it didn't fit on his during the unboxing video.

I just don’t think any bracelet is going to look better than the nylon strap it comes on

Meh on the bracelet. To each his own but it looks off to me with the style of the watch.

I absolutely love the speedmaster. I own one. However don’t get mad at me but I just don’t understand the hype around this watch. Sorry.

Snoopy part aside, I think it's overall a fantastic looking watch. The blue bezel and sub dials with the silver pie pan dial, along with the blue strap...

I admit, when it was first announced, it didn't really do much for me, but the more I look at photos, the more I like it.

I was just at my AD today to check out the new Speedmaster (they didn't have it yet), but I did try on the previous gen Hesalite and Sapphire sandwich version. It didn't occur to me to ask about the snoopy...well it did a little, but I got distracted and forgot. Next time I go in I'll have to remember to ask.

Either way, some form of Speedmaster is in my future. It's tempting to get the previous gen Hesalite for $1000 less.... but that new bracelet...

I think it’s beautiful also. I just don’t understand why retail is so much higher on it and why it’s selling for above retail. All because a Snoopy is on it. Believe me I want to understand. I love Omega and the speedmaster.

You can buy the old one and order the new bracelet for it (or the Apollo 11 bracelet) - it fits per another member on the forum here with photos in a different thread. It still would come out cheaper than the new one most likely, so it comes down to your preferences/care for the movement and dial/bezel changes.

Either way, it doesn’t look great to my eyes. The blue strap contrasts the dial. The bracelet seems to wash the watch out for me at least in that photo.

It’s odd because the Tokyo 2020 looks fab on a bracelet. Maybe it’s the silver/blue combo that doesn’t work (to my eyes obvs)

I love the Speedmaster and own one but not sure how I really feel about this one.

Don't get me wrong I really like it but somehow I feel like it's looks a bit juvenile?

It is a cool watch though but ultimately maybe just not for me.

Yes, I read that too in another thread. It would come down to getting to see both in person, I tried on both older hesalite and sapphire today, and I like them even better in person than in pics (no surprise). It felt much more compact (and slim) on my wrist than what I perceive in photos. I was wearing my 1st gen Planet Ocean which I assume was a similar case, if not the same, but yet the Speedy felt more "one" with the wrist.

I understand the new models are even thinner, so that's only good. In photos, I seem to prefer the step dial, but I have to say in person I really like the flat dial too.

I'll wait to see the new one in person before deciding, but I might not have the opportunity to compare it to the older versions if they are gone. For the old one I would only be interested in the Hesalite, the new one, likely as well, but I'm more open to the Sapphire on the new version than i am the on older version.

One thing is I do not really like the older bracelet, and especially the bulky clasp. Even my Planet Ocean has a slimmer clasp (18mm) that is flush with the tapered bracelet. I know there is no micro adjust, but I still maintain that this PO bracelet is better than Rolex Oyster due to how slim and seamless the clasp is to the bracelet.

The blue strap IMO goes well w the watch overall, if I get the call I’m not changing a thing on it.

Fair assessment. I waited to buy my speedmaster until I saw the new release from Omega and in photos here.

I agree with you re: the dial. The photos of the stepped dial look nice, but at the same time almost looks a bit more "busy." I love the simplicity and clarity of the discontinued version.

I can also understand the bracelet aspect. I do quite like the bracelet of the discontinued one, stylistically perhaps more so than the new version (and I'm not crazy about the new version's clasp). I don't mind the chunkiness. However, I'm contemplating buying the Apollo 11 bracelet/clasp combo which I think looks great and very classic. Uncle Seiko is releasing a 1450 replica as well which looks impressive.

Most important for me was that I don't really care about the new movement. In fact, I like how the old one was basically unchanged since 1968 and was flight-qualified by NASA themselves, rather than Omega doing those tests. And the old one has some flight time logged in space.

Happy moonwatch hunting! There's no wrong choice

You'll need to buy a different strap. Omega straps aren't meant to be switched from pin buckle to deployant. They have one set of straps for pin buckles and another set for deployant clasps. They do have a blue nylon strap that can be fitted with a deployant. It will probably cost $250 at least just for the strap. Buckle will be another $250.

Agree 100%

Plus with the tang buckle it gives you the visibility to see the awesome case back unobstructed.

Nice. Is it a long strap? (asking since I have smaller wrists)
