Incoming - Can Hardly Sleep??

You know it is bad when you can hardly sleep! I was just notified yesterday that my GMT II BLNR that I have been waiting on for about 5 months (not bad!) has arrived and I will hopefully be getting this weekend. I just wired them the money yesterday and got confirmation this morning. Still working through the details of getting the watch as the AD is not officially open for business. Maybe I should get a therapist? Nobody I know can appreciate the anticipation, but I am sure the forum know what I am talking about!

Stay tuned!

FYI - Was told when I got onto their wait list the first week in December it would be 8-12 months. I think the quarantine expedited things.

I know the feeling and hope the waiting time goes by quickly for you. Congrats and yes there are people here who understand both your excitement and the lack of it from most of those around you...lol!

Enjoy!

Every time. Not as bad as hammering the FedEx tracking page for a overnight mail incoming though.

The night after receiving is the key for me. The sample size is small, but so far accurate, if I don't sleep good on the decision the next night, that watch has left within 6 months. 2 I slept like a baby and kept, 2 I tossed and turned with small tinges of regret and ultimately moved on. I don't seem to have that "warm up" period that people have talked about.

Therapist here; while it would be difficult to formally diagnose, it appears everyone on TRF suffers from this maladaptive psychopathology. I, for instance, was caught taking a picture of the FedEx man delivering my watch. Maybe the new DSM will have a section devoted to our weird watch behaviors.

Congrats on your new watch and for waiting! I plan on getting that watch on grey market as I have no relationship with AD. Send picture when you get it!

How did it arrive to the AD I’d the manu and distributor are closed? Is it from the safe?

Enjoy

Mr Miami - Good luck. I was monitoring the gray market (just in case) and the prices seem to keep dropping, particularly with the most recent virus developments. Now I am hoping for an increase!

ap1 - I do not know the details but am curious as well. Not sure they are willing to share but will inquire. I suspect there were some in the supply chain that are still moving.

Congrats on a very beautiful watch. Anticipation and excitement causing loss of sleep is perfectly normal IMHO. Enjoy the day.

Congrats. I wouldn’t be able to sleep if I had just paid 65% above retail for the same watch that you waited 5 months for :)

I can feel the excitement. Got a call for Hulk within 2 months, back in September.
