FS: 1978 Rolex Submariner Date 1680 One-Owner Full Set

Hi All,

I’m selling a one-owner 1978 Rolex Submariner Date 1680 full set, here are the details:

Dial: Near mint condition MK3 dial that shows very little wear with tritium hour plots that have aged to a lovely creamy yellow hue. The hands have been color matched to the dial and are in excellent condition.

Case: Excellent condition 40mm stainless case with serial number 5,500,xxx that shows light wear with well defined factory bevels. The lugs appear to have a bit of a sleeve polished look. The bezel insert is in excellent condition and shows light wear. The newer 93150 bracelet with clasp code Z is also in excellent condition showing light wear and stretch.

Movement: The Rolex automatic winding calibre 1570 movement is in good operating condition, keeping good time. There is a watchmaker's service mark on the inside of the case dated to 2017.

Other: The watch came to me from the original owner in Italy as a full set with inner / outer boxes, brochures, anchor and the original warranty paper dated to 1979.
