"New" watch just by swapping strap? Let's see all your great strap swaps!

Just swapped out the original jubilee bracelet on my 25 y.o. Datejust. Seems like a brand new watch!

This is new. Not broken in as I haven't worn it outside the house yet. Best match to rootbeer dial I've found yet.

Thank you! I bought two straps recently and this one just stood out. Matched like it was made for it. I'll try to post a better photo at some point.

I like that combo. I had nearly the same strap on my Root Beer for a good while.

As for new straps, I just sourced a NOS Rolex strap and buckle for an old DD.




For break-in, I use the old rubber band method...





The inner leather gets a saddle soap massage in case any old spores are in the leather and then a very light dressing of preservative to protect from perspiration. After that, it's buckled and rubber bound to completely dry for a couple of days. Voilą - instant (or nearly so) break-in...

One thing I love about Breitling is their straps. Here are a few of my combos with all Breitling straps/bracelets.
