Well that’s not the case I wear it about 90% of the time and it’s already marked up, nothing huge but plenty of little bezel blemishes and a few on the case edges but guess what I don’t care!!! It’s a unique watch and even more so as these are my marks I’ve put on it
It’s great that you’re wearing it and enjoying it...as we should!

Well, guys, I am impressed! Never been much for Openworked watches before, but these photos really give me a new perspective. Definitely the nicest I have seen.

I actually just tried on my first AP the other day. A waiter at my favorite Italian restaurant was wearing his Dad's Offshore, and he let me try it. Wow!

Anyway, much as I love these Openworked pieces, I'm afraid I will have to concentrate on getting a 41mm Royal Oak with the "Grande Tapisserie" dial at some point. And I will feel fortunate to own one of those. Meanwhile, keep these pics coming!

Cheers,
Carl

If you get in a list now, your grandkids will be able to pick it up on the new Mars colony.

So the waitinglist is as long as for a 5711 or 116500?

Comparison with 15305OR. AP actually enlarged the movement to fit the larger dial

Interesting as I was told something slighty different but they both could just be different interpretations of the same thing!

The info I was told was the movements are in essence the same ignoring the bridge and DBW for a minute, on the 407 the outer minute counter ring was enlarged and moved further out of the movement to allow fitment to the 41mm case, this was highlighted to me by the similar if not exact same size clear case back and by looking at were the counter ring seats on the movement and how on the 305 you can see it overlaps on certain mount points and jewel bearings.

Are we talking the same thing? If not that interesting as I wonder what’s happening with the new 37mm as I was told it was the same movement cal:3132 as the 407 but with the reverse of above.

Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me but the movement does looks bigger on the 407. Anyway will compare closer when next time.

Hard one as to me looking at certain reference points rather then the whole movement it does look the same size.

Maybe measure from certain reference points like hand stack > balance wheel bearing or mainspring bearing etc.
