Santos de Cartier replacement straps

I need some help sourcing some aftermarket straps for the santos de cartier medium. Because of their unique quick deploy design, it seems like no one makes any aftermarket ones. I was wondering because i didn't really like the ones cartier offered. If anyone has any information, it would be much appreciated. Cheers.

I read somewhere that the Santos does not accept any after market straps.

I’ve not been able to find any that fit the new Santos system. I’ve thus ordered an extra bespoke strap from Cartier themselves - circa £300.

Thanks, but they don’t seem to have anything in stock.

I don't think there are any aftermarket straps for it. The way the straps attach to the new Santos, they use a proprietary design. I spoke to a strap maker about it a few months ago, and they said they would need the attachment parts from an authentic Cartier strap to make a custom one...so you would need to buy one to let them cut it up to make you a new one.

I have a Tank Solo XL i've been religiously trying to find an alligator strap for. the 23x18 measurements make this almost impossible.

Any ideas, gentlemen?

Have you visited the Cartier boutique on Newbury Street, to see what options they can offer you? I bought my Santos there, and they had several optional straps to choose from when I made my purchase.

Otherwise, the strap attaches in a conventional manner, so I would think you could take a trip to NYC and have an aftermarket custom strap made if you wished to. I visited the Jean Rousseau boutique for a Vacheron, and they had a huge selection of all types of exotic skins (ostrich, alligator in a variety of different size scales, stingray, lizard, calf in different textures, and everything in many colors. I had heard of this company from a friend in Europe who was very happy with their work. I didn't know they had a shop in the US until I stumbled upon it during my last trip to NYC.
